Life's trials sometimes mold us rather than break us
As I was feeling the rush of recent trials in my life, I realized a few things that you might relate to, or maybe not, but either way, my trials are molding me, not breaking me, and for this I am most thankful. This is what I found..........
1) When it rains, it usually does for months on end.
2) When life seems too hard to walk another step, I trip, get bruised but get right back up again watching better where I walk next time.
3) When I am misunderstood, I explain myself another time or two, and then leave the misunderstanding in the mind of the one who misunderstood, I can only say the same thing so many ways, then I have to leave the outcome to God, He's the best interpreter.
4) When I want to give up, I remember the God I love and serve, my family I hold dear to my heart and my friends I just can't give up on.
5) When I am tired of treading miles on the hamster wheel, I look for the safest break and jump off, tumbling a bit in the process but I look back at the wheel and wonder why I jumped on in the first place.
6) When the going gets tough, I get on my knees and pray like my life depends on it, for it most likely does.
7) When I am judged or ridiculed for my faith in God, I thank Jesus for making me one of His own and realize there is proof I no longer belong to this world.
8) When I feel alone, I remember God is always with me, through my highs and in my lows.
9) When I am pressed on every side and nothing makes sense, I accept the fact that life is hard, sin abounds, death is inevitable but Jesus Christ still reigns on the throne of heaven.
10) When I lose my focus on what matters most, I close my eyes, turn my heart towards Jesus and give my life back to Him, daily and sometimes moment by moment.
Yes, my trials can mold me or break me, but through these tribulations I can rest in Jesus's care and travel along the road of forgiveness, love, acceptance, grace and mercy, healing and growth. There is nothing that can keep me from God's love, no matter how low the valley or how high the mountaintop, God is always near to me.
